Wild West Wheelchairs is a highly professional company with many years experience in the disability equipment sector in Australia (and soon New Zealand too). Our primary focus is a high level of service towards the end user, therapists, funding bodies and dealers. We carry a range of wheelchairs and accessories for both the local and domestic (Aus and NZ) market. Wild West Wheelchairs is owned and operated by Peter Kerkhof. Peter has a Bachelors degree in Human Kinetic Technology and is an Engineer in Industrial Product Design. Peter has 15+ years experience working with disability equipment. He worked for several equipment dealers, and manufacturers over the years. His experience includes; repairs, maintenance, seating (wheelchairs) fitting (stander/walkers), sales, programming (electric wheelchairs), in-service and education sessions.

Declan is a Spex Seating expert with an extensive history in wheelchairs and health products. He has a natural talent for problem-solving, product assembly and technical support. On the road or in the workshop, Declan travels far and wide to ensure the best service for our clients.

Kati was born and raised in Los Angeles and moved to Australia in 2024 after marrying her Australian husband. She was first introduced to the wheelchair industry in March 2025—something completely new to her at the time. Now, Kati supports the team behind the scenes by preparing quotes, sending invoices, and communicating with clients, therapists, and suppliers. She enjoys being part of a supportive and growing team.

Brendan has over 18 years of experience in disability and aged care services. He specializes in assistive technology assessments, particularly mobility solutions such as manual and powered wheelchairs, complex seating, and 24-hour positioning, helping individuals improve independence and quality of life. He is also Perth's most experienced seating and pressure mapping specialist.

Max is our greeter dog. Whomever comes to visit Wild West Wheelchairs in Perth will be welcomed by this blond beauty. She will come over to say hi, will walk away and come back with a toy. Not to hand it to you, just to show you. She is also our resident anxiety dog.  She'll pick up if a client is a bit nervous and will come over to calm them down.
